Baby-tooth crowns
“Knight's armour” or “sparkle tooth”
Prefabricated baby-tooth crowns are silver-coloured stainless-steel caps. For severely damaged baby molars worth preserving, they represent a final attempt to retain the tooth for longer.
For children, we use names such as “knight's tooth”, “sparkle tooth” or “princess tooth”.
What does statutory health insurance cover?
Prefabricated silver-coloured steel crowns are fully covered by German statutory health insurance (gesetzliche Krankenkasse). For large defects, they are the most durable restoration.
